The Way To Spend A Friday Night

Today was such a great day. Once again I was reminded of how much I love our little community.

After school ended today, folks headed over to set up for a drive thru dinner benefit for a woman in our community who is battling cancer. The amount of volunteers and food that were on hand was astonishing. The way the community comes together to help each other out warms the heart.

Not to mention the BBQ dinner was delish!

I won't divulge too much information as I have to save most of the details and photos for the local newspaper, but this place, and this community is amazing.

If you're looking for a wonderful place to raise your kids, this county is the place to do it in.

After the food was all served up  my kiddies and I headed over to the high school football game. It was a little too chilly for my babies to stay too long, but when we left our boys were up 34-0. The final score was 60-8. Yah, we have a pretty good team.

Friday night football fans. :)

My oldest son was thrilled to be the water boy.

All in all, it was a great way to spend a Friday night. :)

I hope you had a great one too!

  1. You chose well. The county you are in is full of caring & compassionate people, qualities that seem to be getting lost in today's world. Of course, they are usually "kin-folk" on one side or t' other. :) DAP is also a perfect example or the norm, not the exception in this community.

I'm so glad you stopped by! Now tell me, what'd ya think?
